JOHNSON MRS. PHYLLIS M. Age 82 of St. Clair Shores, passed away Saturday morning at her home following a long time illness of heart disease. She was born on December 4, 1929 in Clinton Township, Michigan, the only daughter of the late Frank and Olga (Schoof) Socia. She was united in marriage with Charles H. Johnson on March 24, 1949 in Mount Clemens, and settled in St. Clair Shores. Mr. Johnson passed away on Thursday, June 29, 1989. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a seven year breast cancer survivor. Mrs. Johnson is survived by four children, Charles H. Johnson, Frank E. Johnson, Christine Jamieson and Phyllis M. Johnson; grandson, Christopher (Christina) Fetko; two great- granddaughters, Ruby Jubilee and Paisley Clementine; two brothers, Robert (Kathy) Socia and Donald (Janet) Socia and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand- nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by daughter, Francine Renee, siblings Frank Socia and Douglas Socia, son-in-law, Robert J. Jamieson and sister-in-law, Sharren Socia. POPRAWA JOSEPH F. loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, age 92, passed on to his heavenly reward on March 14, 2012. Joseph was born to Walerian and Hedwiga Poprawa in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Cass Tech High School and honorably served his country in Europe with the 350th bomber squadron during WW II. After the war, he met his future wife, Florence, they married and he obtained his degree in engineering from the University of Detroit. He went on to have a successful career in the defense and aerospace industries. Joseph was a man of faith, a hard worker, avid sportsman and devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Florence, sons Joseph (Barbara), Michael (Debra), and Mark, nine grandchildren, and nine great-grand children.
