NORWICK DR. KENNETH W. DDS MSD Dearborn orthodontist, passed away, after a long illness, on May 1, 2012, at the age of 72. His loving family and friends were by his side. Dr. Norwick attended the University of Michigan undergrad, and the University of Detroit Dental School '65, graduating summa cum laude. He practiced general dentistry for two years before pursuing a Masters Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Washington '69. In addition, Dr. Norwick was a member of the Michigan Dental Association (MDA), past president of the Detroit District Dental Society (DDDS), member of American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), and past faculty member of the University Of Detroit School Of Dentistry, department of Orthodontics. Dr. Norwick also received numerous awards throughout his distinguished career. Dr. Norwick's passion for the outdoors led him on exotic adventures throughout the world. He enjoyed fishing, wild game hunting, sailboat racing, power boating, scuba diving, golf, and most of all, duck hunting with his beloved dogs in the marshes of Lake St. Claire. His zest for "living life to the fullest," will be our fondest memory. Ken was blessed with life-long friends who provided him, and his family, with exceptional support. Ken will be deeply missed by his mother Helen Norwick of Dearborn Michigan, his two sons, Curtis Norwick and Kenneth Norwick, his two devoted daughters in law Cindy and Lisa, his four loving grandchildren, Curtis, Paige, Blake, and Claire, his sister, Nancy Brown of Colorado, and three step-children, Lisa, Justine and John. A memorial mass will be held at 11am on May 9, 2012, at St. Anselm Parish, Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
