FOLZ RICHARD SCHOTT Thursday, March 29, 2012, age 86, of Memphis, TN (formerly of Milwaukee, WI), died from complications associated with dementia. Preceded in death by his wife, Susan, and younger brother, John. Dear father of Julie (Jack) Erkilla, Barb (Scott) Schryver, and Jim (Tam) Folz. Beloved grandfather of Rachel and Jay Erkilla, Elli, and Samantha Schryver, Abigail, and Sarah Folz. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Richard was born September 5, 1925, in Detroit, MI. He was the son of the late Elizabeth and Ralph Folz. He served in the United States Army Air Force, 1943-1945, as a Flight Engineer. Richard attended the University of Missouri and studied marketing and engineering. His career as an industrial steel salesman took him and his family from Detroit to Milwaukee in the early 1970s. Richard's interests included spending time with his grandchildren. In addition, his wartime service led to a lifetime love of aviation and World War II-era planes. He also enjoyed following the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. His activities included sailing, golfing, and gardening.
