SAURA THOMAS, 79, passed away on April 03, 2012 in Orlando Florida after a prolonged illness. He was born May 11, 1932 in Roseville, MI. He lived most of his life in Roseville and Sterling Heights, where he was an active volunteer in the community and church. His final year was spent in Orlando Florida near family, sunshine and sea, just as he always wanted. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia (Patt) married for over 48 years. He is also survived by his children Michael (Brenda), Kathleen (Dennis) Deery, Steven, and Jeffrey (Terry O'Connor); grandchildren Steven, Joshua, and Thomas; siblings Tony, Maria, Nick, and Bill Saura; and caregiver Mary Holt. He lived his life to the fullest and will be fondly remembered for his caring spirit and tenacity for life. Visitation will be Tuesday April 10 from 4-8 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township MI 48038. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11 in state at 9 a.m. Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Twp, MI 48038.
